Most people crave an afternoon (or late night) caffeine boost and a sweet treat, right? Even though studies mention sugary treats provide about 20 minutes of energy and afterward, the body deflates into a worst mental state of mind of low energy. Supposedly, it’s better to have a healthy snack, such as fruit, yogurt, cereals and so forth. Eating healthy 500% of the time doesn’t make the world a better place. So, if you want to soar for 20 minutes, here’s a recipe for a sweet drink. Flavor it with honey, stevia or whatever is your weakness.
Ingredients and Directions
1-1/2 cups soy/cow milk; 2-1/4 tsp. Matcha Powder; honey, to taste; and 1/4 tsp. almond extract. Whisk over medium heat in a pot. Don’t let it boil. When hot and steamy, pour into a mug. Enjoy your 20-minute soar. To add more minutes to your brief energy boost, follow with your favorite chocolate dessert.
Note: Replace the milk with this Green Tea Latté sans sweetener in smoothies (chill it first, of course) and oatmeal cereal.
Oooo! I’d drink it just for it’s lovely color!
Yummy! !!! That cup of green tea deliciousness looks sooooo good! and would be appropriate for me as tomorrow, I am dealing with 100% change of rain! Also, I am looking to reduce the coffee in my life, so I’ll most certainly give this a try.
