The Sage Survival

Freshly Picked Sage Leaves, 2010
Freshly Picked Sage Leaves, 2010

It was a winter,
but the Sage survived.
The perennial favorite,
Rosemary, lost its color,
Weather reports say
more snow and cold days this week.
Lemon Balm leaves the dirt, anyway.
Life returns to green,
again.

Last year’s herb garden included Begonias, Chocolate Mint, Cilantro, Greek Oregano, Italian Basil, Italian Parsley, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Lettuce, Mint, Morning Glory, Rosemary, Sage, Shamrock Wine, Thai Basil, and Thyme.

Thanks, Robyn! Do you have a herb or a vegetable garden?
