Appetizing Places: Peaches July 4th Cocktails

[portfolio_slideshow]

Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with a few cocktails. Craig Samuel, co-owner of Peaches Restaurant in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn has three special drinks for the July 4th weekend (they’re probably available year round, tell the bartender MyLifeRunsOnFood.com sent you): Blackberry Smash Infused with Blackberry Vodka, White Julep (a variation on a mint julep using clear corn liquor), and Stuyvesant Sidecar. Their signature cocktail, The Brownstone Punch is the popular sweet thirst-quencher with the locals.

Besides shaking, mixing, and swirling unique cocktails, Peaches Restaurant specializes in serving southern American cuisine. Its award-winning menu includes Crispy Fried Chicken, juicy Turkey Meatloaf, fresh Crabcakes, and the “Brickhouse” Roast Half Chicken. All are highly recommended favorites. Complete the meal with the perfect side dish of Sweet Potato Fries, collard greens, kale, and more. A recommended tip for the summer: Peaches participates in BedStuy’s Farmshare, in which daily specials incorporate local ingredients. Celebrate Independence Day (and year round) with Peaches Restaurant located at 393 Lewis Avenue (between MacDonough St. & Decatur St.), Brooklyn, NY 11233.

MyLifeRunsOnFood.com sends a special thanks to Craig Samuels and Ben, co-owners of Peaches Restaurant. In addition to Peaches, their other venues include: Peaches HotHouse and The SmokeJoint. All are located in Brooklyn.

I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with the 1/2 salad (can’t remember the name but with the feta, walnuts, and argula) and we shared the brownie (with vanilla ice cream and blackberries) for dessert…oh my…I’m definitely having a birthday brunch at Peaches this year!!! Can’t wait…yummoooo!!!!
