#SmoothieNumbers 28: Pineapple Carrot Guava
Ingredients
- 8 to 10 oz. frozen chunks of pineapple
- 1/3 cup fresh grated carrots
- 1-1/2 cup guava juice, more or less depending on the spend of your blender
- 2 tsp. ground flax seeds
- 1 tsp. honey, adjust amount to personal taste
Directions
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
- Enjoy.

As for the health benefits, according to BerkeleyWellness.com, “Flaxseed supplies an essential fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which may contribute to a wide range of health benefits including cell membrane health, the production of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins, and cardio-protective abilities. …”
This looks epic… Question though, why the flax seeds? Is it for health benefits or because it’s important to the recipe?
